Matt is a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps and currently serves as a Defense Contractor in hostile areas around the world.
Matt is a guest instructor that we bring in whenever possible specifically to instruct and discuss CQB and Vehicle CQB. Matt spent four years in the United States Marine Corps (two years Infantry, two years Scout Sniper) and afterwards has spent years as a defense contractor. Matt's real-world experience around the globe brings a wealth of knowledge that is crucial to imparting knowledge to students learning from him. Experience:
Security:
- Participated in 300+ foot and mobile counter insurgency patrols during Operation Iraqi Freedom that insured the protection of Iraqi citizens and American forces in western Iraq
- Supervised millions of dollars worth of military gear, communications equipment, and personnel while maintaining full accountability at all times
- Ran High Profile and Low Profile Security operations in Baghdad, Iraq
- Was a PSS member on the Consulate Generals team (Former US. Ambassador to Dubai) in Northern Iraq which included PSD operations on the Syrian/Iraq and well as the Iran/Iraq border.
- Conducted security operations in Northern Iraq for Senator McCain, Lieberman and Graham post Benghazi attack in support of diplomatic missions throughout the region.
- Operated on an ERT (Emergency Response Team) for 5 weeks in Herat, Afghanistan in support of the US Consulate after the September 13th attack of 2013
- PSS (Personal Security Specialist) member in Kabul, Afghanistan on the USAID Mission Directors team
Investigation:
- Highly trained in crime scene investigation techniques and proper personnel searching
- Received CERCOM during first combat deployment to Iraq for helping investigate leads which led to the capture of over 25 insurgents

- Highly trained in communication equipment and techniques to include UHF, VHF and Satellite Communications
