Athens Gun Training

Pistol Class Athens Georgia

Athens GA Pistol ClassShooting Strategies is proud to offer pistol classs in Athens, Georgia and for people in the surrounding areas. We train students from Oconee County, Clarke County, Jefferson, Bogart, Watkinsville, Winder, and similar areas near Athens. If you are looking for training in the Atlanta area, please check out our Atlanta Handgun Training. As the Safe Carry Protection Act of 2014 law came into effect (the "guns everywhere" law), more and more responsible, law-abiding citizens have decided that concealed carrying a handgun is the right choice for them to defend themselves. Though it is not a legal requirement that citizens undergo certified training in order to obtain a Georgia Weapons Permit, almost all responsibly armed citizens would agree that you will be better suited to protect yourself and others if you had participated in a pistol class.

Our instructors are certified, qualified and insured for firearms instruction and training. We are passionate about helping others learn to safely and effectively use a pistol, rifle, or shotgun for personal protection. Every year we spent a lot of time and money on additional training for ourselves so that we can make sure that we are providing our students with the best training available in order to help them achieve their goals. We maintain our credentials and certifications with the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA). In short, we do everything in our power to make sure that our pistol classes are of the highest caliber anywhere.

Our concealed carry classes also focus on the judicious use of force and firearm/self-defense laws for the state of Georgia. In order to be a responsible, armed citizen- you must understand the laws of our state. We make sure to answer any questions about where it is legal to conceal carry a handgun, what constitutes a "justifiable shooting," and specifically what you should and should not disclose to law enforcement in the aftermath of a self-defense shooting. For the same reasons that police do not immediately issue a report after they are involved in a shooting on duty, you should not try to communicate "your side of the story" after the unfortunate event of a deadly self-defense incident.

We strive to improve our level of instruction and our classes on an ongoing basis. We want out students to feel confident that they are receiving reliable information, correct interpretations and definitions of the laws of Georgia, and efficient methods of using their pistol. Furthermore, we want to make sure that we provide a non-intimidating, fun environment for our students so that they are comfortable asking questions, trying new techniques without the risk of failing, and never feeling like they are in any sort of danger. Safety is our number priority, to we also try to make sure that everyone is enjoying their time with us as well.

In short- we do everything that we can do to ensure that all of our students who are interested in carrying a concealed weapon for personal protection receive adequate training and instruction to make sure that they are safely and responsibly armed at the completion of the class.
