Ron Avery

Former law enforcement officer, world ranked professional shooter, and internationally acclaimed trainer and writer, Ron is one of the first trainers in modern times to apply and adapt scientific principles at a high level to high performance shooting. His philosophies, training concepts, attention to detail and the use of scientific concepts have propelled him to the top of the charts as a trainer of world class performance for shooters in both tactical and competitive arenas. Ron has over 36 years experience as a professional trainer and consultant to all branches of the military, select government agencies, hundreds of federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies and thousands of clients in the private sector.
A veteran deputy sheriff, police officer and valedictorian of two police academies, Ron worked the street as well as back country and rural environments for 13 years full time and then as a reserve officer for 12 more years.

SHOOTING ACHIEVEMENTS
- Member of the USPSA first place, Gold Medal Winning Standard Division Team in the 2002 IPSC World Championships in South Africa. Individual Bronze Medal in that event.
- Member of the USPSA Senior Standard Division Team in the 2014 IPSC World Championships in Florida. Individual Bronze Medal in that event.
- National Champion, Limited 10 Division, USPSA 2000
- USPSA Two-time National Law Enforcement Champion and numerous first place law enforcement trophies over the years in various major matches during the years I was employed full time as a police officer.
- Over 15 Senior National Championship titles in multiple events to include USPSA Limited and Limited 10 National Championships, USPSA Steel Challenge, USPSA Single Stack Nationals.
- Top 16 shooter in National and Regional Tournaments since 1989. To include all US National Championships.
